Mary is a versatile professional musician who is at home in a wide variety of styles and genres, from classical to folk, Medieval to contemporary. She is a highly skilled sightreader who can also play by ear, improvise, transcribe and arrange music to the customers requirements.
On her modern cello Mary plays for private events and celebrations, in theatre productions and as a session musician on recordings and one-off gigs.
As an Early Music specialist she plays continuo on Baroque cello or viola da gamba, and at heritage events with music and instruments from the Medieval, Tudor and Stuart eras.
Being based in the Midlands gives Mary ideal access to the whole of the UK by road or rail.
